Home Staging Tip: How to Create an Extraordinary Breakfast Tablescape

You've probably seen dining tables set with the typical placesettings consisting of a placemat, plate, wine glass and napkin.  Rather than be predictable, it's time to change things up and make it a little more exciting. Here is the first in a series that I'll be sharing with you.Create a breakfast tablescape in your breakfast nook, on the balcony or patio.  Here's what to do:  Use a tray or basket and line it with a colorful kitchen towel.  On top of that layer a french press filled with coffee beans (yes, real beans) or a teapot and open a few teabags and have the label hang out of the teapot.  In the tray, add faux croissants, bagels or bread, jar of jam or other topping.  On the table, use espresso cups and fill with coffee beans or teacups with teabags (yes open them).  We also like to embellish the cups with faux fruit (strawberries, raspberries, etc.) for color and interest.  Add a rolled newspaper or potholder for added interest and voila, you've got an extraordinary breakfast tablescape.
